Create interview feedback forms, assign them to your interview stages, and submit your candidate feedback.

This article explains how to set up, edit, and manage your feedback forms. Use feedback forms to submit and review feedback on candidate interviews.


๐Ÿ“ Creating & Editing Feedback Forms

  1. Create a new feedback form your Interview Plan, or from the Settings & Members Feedback Forms overview.

    • Interview Plan: On the Interview plan of any job, click on any stage. From the 'Feedback form' dropdown, select '+ New Feedback Form'

    • Settings & Members: Select 'Feedback Forms' from the Settings & Members menu. In the upper right-hand corner click the '+ New' button to create a new feedback form.

  2. Select 'Start from template' to start with one of Dover's pre-made forms, or 'Start from scratch' to start from a blank form.

    • If using 'Start from template' use the 'Select role type' dropdown to choose the role most similar to the role you're hiring for.

  3. Update your template with a unique name.

  4. Edit (โœ๏ธ), delete ( ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ), or re-order (drop and drop from the left) existing questions.

  5. Click '+ Add question' at the bottom of the form to add a new question

    • Choose 'Free text' to allow free-form answers from your interviewers.

    • Choose 'Select' to make the question multiple-choice.

      • Add 'Options' (+) below as your multiple-choice selections.

    • Fill out the 'helper text' field to give additional context to your interviewer on the question or how to judge the candidate's answer.

  6. Be sure to 'Save' your feedback form template at the bottom of the page, and assign the feedback form to the corresponding stage in your Interview Plan.


Managing Feedback Forms in 'Settings & Members'

  1. From the lefthand side menu in the Dover app, select the 'Settings & Members'.

    Under 'Company' click on 'Feedback Forms' to view all of your Feedback forms.

  2. The 'Assigned Jobs' column will show how many jobs each feedback form is assigned to.

    • Hover over the assigned number of jobs to see which jobs are assigned to that feedback form.

  3. The 'Created by' column will show which teammate created each template.

  4. Under the 'Actions' column are the options to edit, duplicate, or delete your feedback forms.

  5. Click 'New' in the upper right-hand corner to create a new feedback form.

Admin users can edit any feedback form - Basic users can only edit feedback forms they have created. Learn about assigning permissions.


Assigning Feedback Forms to Interview Stages

  1. On your job in Dover, navigate to your job's Interview plan.

  2. Click edit (โœ๏ธ) on the stage you want to set the feedback form for.

  3. In the 'Edit Interview' details, click the 'Feedback form' dropdown menu at the bottom of the page.

  4. Select an existing feedback form to assign it to the stage. Feedback forms can be used across multiple jobs and stages.

  5. Be sure to 'Save' your interview stage at the bottom of the page.


๐Ÿ† Submitting Candidate Interview Feedback

  1. To submit candidate feedback, visit the candidate's detail page in the Candidate View, then select Interview Feedback from the tabs.

  2. Click 'Submit Feedback'. This will open a new tab where the feedback form assigned to that interview stage will populate. You'll also find a link to the feedback form in the Google Calendar invite.

    • If you'd rather use a different feedback form, you can select any of your feedback forms from the feedback form dropdown menu from this view.

    • If no feedback form is assigned, Dover's default interview form will populate with a few general categories for you to take notes in.

  3. Once you've finished Interviewing the candidate and completed your feedback form, click 'Submit Feedback' at the bottom of the page.

    • You'll be redirected to view the final feedback form submission.

    • Click the edit feedback to make changes.

      • Only Admin users or the user who submitted the feedback form can edit.


๐Ÿ‘€ Reviewing Interview Feedback

Your Hiring Team can review feedback and scores from interviews. Only Dover Admins and members of your Hiring Team will be able to review interview feedback. Learn about assigning permissions.

  1. On the Candidates page, click on an individual candidate

  2. You will see the overall rating from each interviewer's feedback form. Click on each card to see their complete review.

โ“ For multipart interviews, does each interviewer get their own feedback form?

Yes! Each interviewer can complete their own interview feedback form for a candidate.

โ“ I just updated the questions on my feedback forms - do these apply to candidates who've already completed the interview?

No, updates will only apply to all future interviews

โ“ I use Lever/Greenhouse. Do these questions sync with my ATS?

Dover feedback forms are distinct from feedback forms in Lever and Greenhouse, and will not sync to your ATS.
