Dover templates help streamline communication and tailor your responses to candidates through Smart Reply or Saved Templates.

How to Use Email Templates in Dover

1. Sending Scheduling to a Candidate

When sending scheduling communications, you can choose between:

  • Smart Reply: Dover automatically generates a smart response based on the candidate's stage, the interviewer, sender of the email and more.

  • Saved Template: Use a pre-saved template that fits your current needs. Templates can now be utilized across different jobs and interview stages.

2. Saving Replies as Templates

  • Before sending an email, you have the option to modify it. If you want to save your reply as a new template, click "Save New Template" in the email editing screen.

  • We will generate a New Template based on your email, and our New Template editing screen will open.

3. Creating & Saving Templates

  • When creating a new Template, the New Template editing screen will open.

  1. Name your Template: Give your template a specific name to make it easier to identify and reuse.

  2. Adjust Details: Make necessary changes to the email body and subject line.\

  3. Add Hyperlinks by highlighting the text you wish to hyperlink and pasting your URL over that text.

  4. Save Changes: To finalize and save your changes, click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

Managing & Assigning Templates

1. From the Candidate View

  • When choosing your template on a candidate, at the bottom of the template dropdown, you can select "New Template" to begin creating a New Template from your current message.

  • Select "Manage" to access the Email Template page.

2. From Company Settings

  • Navigate to the Email Templates section under Company Settings to view all your saved templates.

  • You can Edit, Duplicate, and Delete existing Templates via the "Actions" buttons.

  • Click "New" in the upper right-hand corner to start a new template.

    Always "Save" to update the template once you are done editing.

3. From the Interview Plan

  1. To assign a template to a specific interview stage, navigate to the interview plan tab and select "Edit" on the stage you would like to modify.

  2. Assign your templates for Scheduling and Rejection from the dropdown menus at the bottom of the Stage Details. Select a saved template or assign ✨ Smart Reply.

    • To create a new template, click "New Template" on the bottom of the dropdown options.

    • To manage your templates, click "Manage" on the bottom of the dropdown options to access the Email Templates page.
