Board view

  • Kanban style view

Filtering candidates

Quick filters

  • Interviewing: View active candidates in the interview process

  • Scheduled: See upcoming interviews

  • Needs Action: Shows candidates who are waiting on decisions from the hiring team

  • Snoozed: Shows candidates whose status is snoozed

Advanced filters

  • Status: Filter by Active, Withdrew, Hired, Rejected, or Snoozed

  • Source: View candidates by Dover Sourcing, Manual Addition, Referral, or Inbound Application

Starring candidates

Star important candidates for quick access:

  1. Click the Star icon on any candidate card

  2. Access starred candidates from the left sidebar

  3. Stars are visible only to you, not your team


Pipeline stages

Leads

  • New Lead: Recently sourced candidates

  • Contacted: Candidates who received outreach

  • Responded: Candidates who replied to outreach

Applicants

  • Applied: Candidates from Dover-connected job boards

  • Access detailed candidate scoring in Application Review

Interview process

  • Custom stages for your interview plan (e.g., Initial Call, Assessment, Final Round)

  • Candidates remain in stage until actioned

  • Track offer stage candidates separately


Tasks

The Tasks section of the Home page displays all candidates requiring your attention, organized by type and filtered by your role and permissions. Each task shows the date of the latest modification and your role in the action, making it easy to prioritize what needs to be done next.

Choose from the following tab views to see tasks filtered by your access level:

My Tasks shows only tasks assigned directly to you, such as mentions where you were tagged or interviews you conducted. You can view or dismiss the tasks in this view.

Team Tasks displays all tasks for candidates within your hiring team's assigned jobs. You can see advance/reject actions for your team. Team members and Admins can dismiss advance/reject tasks.

All Tasks is available to admins and shows every active task across all hiring teams and jobs. Admins have the same permissions as team members but across all candidates and positions.

How do I add files to a candidate's profile?

Navigate to the candidate's profile from the Candidates tab, select the Files tab, and drag and drop your files.

Can I customize the interview stages?

Yes, stages can be customized to match your company's hiring process.

How do I know if a candidate needs action?

Check the Next Up column in table view or look for Needs Action indicators on candidate cards.

Can I communicate with candidates through Dover?

Yes, you can communicate and schedule interviews with candidates directly through Dover.

How do I email candidates?

You can email candidates directly from their profile in Dover. To use this feature, your company must be using Google Workspace and have email connected.

To set up email:

  1. Connect your Google Workspace email account

Once your email is connected, you can email candidates using the Advance/Reject or Start a new Thread buttons on the candidate's profile.
