Connect your Y Combinator Work at a Startup account with Dover to automatically sync and manage applicants in Dover's Application Review.

Before connecting Y Combinator's Work at a Startup (WaaS) to Dover, please make sure that you have access to a Y Combinator account.

Set up the integration

Get your Dover API key

  1. Navigate to the Job Boards view in Dover

  2. Click on the Y Combinator Work at a Startup (WaaS) job board

  3. Click Show Key to reveal your unique Work at a Startup key and copy it

Add Dover API key to WaaS

  1. Go to https://bookface.ycombinator.com/workatastartup/integrations

  2. Locate the Dover card and click Connect

  3. Paste your Dover API key and click Save

Post Dover jobs to Y Combinator

Use the Import Jobs feature to export your Dover jobs to Work at a Startup. Job posting information stays up to date automatically.

Step 1: In Dover...

  1. Go to app.dover.com and select a job

  2. Click Job Boards and select Y Combinator Works at a Startup (WaaS) job board

  3. Copy your unique job posting import url (Dover Careers Page url) and click I set it up

Step 2: In Work at a Startup...

  1. Go to https://bookface.ycombinator.com/jobs/import

  2. Select Dover as your ATS system and paste your unique job posting import url

  3. Click Load jobs, pick jobs to import, and click Import selected jobs

Imported jobs will appear as Drafts with job descriptions synced from Dover. Edit the job description and click Publish to make them live.

Connect Y Combinator jobs to Dover jobs

  1. Go to https://bookface.ycombinator.com/workatastartup/integrations, select Dover, and click Configure

  2. In the Link jobs to ATS section:

    • Select the Dover job that corresponds to your WaaS job

    • Click Save

  3. New applicants will automatically sync to Dover with source listed as "YC WaaS"

Note: Any candidates who were in your Y Combinator / WaaS job prior to the sync will not show up in Dover.
