How to add candidates into your outreach efforts or interview pipeline

Dover's Add Candidate feature enables you to add candidates directly into your job's interview pipeline. Once added, these candidates will progress through the interview process alongside other applicants and candidates.

How to add a candidate

Start by opening the Add Candidate form using one of these methods:

  • Press C on your keyboard

  • Use Command+K and select Add Candidate

  • Navigate to the Candidates tab and click the + icon in the Board view next to the interview stage

Complete the Add Candidate Form

  1. Add the candidate's resume (optional):

    • Drag and drop a resume into the form or click browse computer

    • The Applicant Tracking System will automatically extract and populate candidate details

  2. Complete or review the following information:

    • Name (required)

    • Email (optional)

    • LinkedIn URL (optional)

    • Source (required)

    • Job (required)

    • Interview Stage (required)

  3. Click Add Candidate to submit the form

The candidate will appear on the Candidates page under your selected interview stage, where you can track their progress through your hiring pipeline.

How do I send email outreach to candidates?

You have two options for adding candidates to email outreach campaigns:

  1. Source candidates from LinkedIn:

  2. Source manually:

    • Navigate to the Sourcing tab

    • Click Source Candidate to add candidates manually

I'm working with a recruiting agency. How can they add candidates?

Enable your agency recruiters to submit candidates:

  • Go to the Agencies tab

  • Click +Agency to send invitations

  • Agency recruiters can then submit candidates directly to your open roles

How can my work colleagues, investors and colleagues add candidates to Dover?

Invite your contacts to submit their candidates to your open roles.

  • Navigate to the Referrals tab

  • Click +Invite to send email invitations

  • Invited contacts can submit candidates

Can I bulk add candidates?

Currently, bulk candidate uploads are available only for paid plans. Contact your Dover representative to learn more about this feature.
