Does Dover score applicants based on how well they fit open roles?

Dover now offers AI-Powered Applicant Scoring that uses OpenAI to evaluate applicants based on your custom criteria. Each applicant receives a score from 0-100 to help you prioritize which candidates to review first. To use this feature, you'll need to configure your own OpenAI API key in Settings & Members > Applicant Scoring.

How much does AI scoring cost?

You'll be charged by OpenAI based on API usage. Dover does not mark up these costs. Typical costs are $0.01-0.05 per applicant scored, depending on the length of resumes and application answers.

What happened to the previous applicant scoring feature?

On June 25, 2025, Dover sunset our previous Applicant Scoring feature while we designed and developed the new AI-Powered version. You can now use the enhanced AI scoring with your own custom criteria and OpenAI API key.
