How to create a job

  1. In the left sidebar, click +Job

  2. Add the "Job title" and select a "Hiring Manager" and "Recruiter" (optional)

  3. Select the Job Visibility as "Public" or "Private"

  4. Select when you'd like to make your hire by

  5. Click Create Job

Once you've created a job, you can complete information about the job in the job posting tab, post your role on job boards, source candidates and more.

Dover's job setup is configurable based on which Dover Features you have enabled for each job. Adding a new role to Dover is easy! Setup will take less than 2 minutes.


How to deactivate a job

  1. Navigate to your job in Dover

  2. Click the dropdown to the right of the job title (it will say Active)

  3. Select Deactivate job

  4. (optional) Select candidates to receive automated rejection emails

  5. Click Deactivate job / Deactivate job and send rejection emails

Can I edit job details after creation?

Yes, you can modify all job details after initial setup through the job settings page.

What's the difference between public and private jobs?

Public jobs appear on your career page and can be shared externally. Private jobs are only visible to your hiring team.

How do I copy an existing job posting?

Use the Duplicate job function in the job menu to create a copy with all settings preserved.

What happens when I deactivate my job in Dover?

That depends on what features you have enabled.

  • You can select specific candidates to receive automated rejection emails during the deactivation process.

  • Your job posting will be removed from your careers page and Dover-managed job boards.
