Updated over a week ago

Overview

The candidate portal helps candidates understand where they are in the interview process. You can choose which interview stages to share publicly by marking stages as visible (or keeping them hidden).

Show interview plan on your job posting

You can choose to show selected stages of your interview plan with applicants. All interview stages are hidden by default, and you can make each step either visible or hidden.

Set an interview stage as visible to candidates

  1. Select a job

  2. Click Interview Plan

  3. Click an interview stage to edit it

  4. Toggle on Share interview step with candidates on the application page and candidate portal

  5. Add a public description for the stage (example: “You will meet with members of the engineering team in a live coding exercise.”)

  6. Save your changes

When an interview stage is visible to applicants, it will show a Visible tag on your Interview Plan.

Set an interview stage as hidden from candidates

If you no longer want candidates to see a step in your process, you can hide that interview stage at any time.

  1. Select a job

  2. Click Interview Plan

  3. Click an interview stage to edit it

  4. Toggle off Share interview step with candidates on the application page and candidate portal

  5. Save your changes

When the toggle is off, the stage will be hidden from candidates and won’t appear in the candidate portal or on the job posting.

What candidates will see

  • Candidates will be able to see each of the visible steps of your interview process and the public description.

  • Each visible interview stage will be in the order in which it appears in the interview plan.

  • When an interview stage is not visible, it will be hidden from applicants and won’t appear on the job posting or in the candidate portal.

Send candidates a personalized link (coming soon)

On each candidate profile, you can click Generate + copy a like to share a public candidate status page with that candidate.

Candidates can use the link to track their progress through the interview stages.
