Overview
The Tasks section displays all items requiring your attention, organized by type and filtered by your role and permissions. Each task shows the date of the latest modification and your role in the action, making it easy to prioritize what needs to be done next.
Task types
The Tasks section includes three main types of items:
Mentions appear when someone tags you in a note about a candidate. You'll see who mentioned you and which candidate the note concerns. Only the person tagged can mark the mention as complete.
Interview feedback requests appear after you've completed an interview with a candidate. These reminders ensure feedback is submitted promptly for all completed interviews.
Advance / reject actions prompt you to move a candidate forward or reject them to the next interview stage. These tasks appear when a candidate is ready for the next step in your process.
Viewing your tasks
Choose from following tab views to see tasks filtered by your access level.
My Tasks shows only tasks assigned directly to you, such as mentions where you were tagged or interviews you conducted. You can view or dismiss the tasks in this view.
Team Tasks displays all tasks for candidates within your hiring team's assigned jobs. You can see advance/reject actions for your team. Team members and Admins can dismiss advance/reject tasks.
All Tasks is available to admins and shows every active task across all hiring teams and jobs. Admins have the same permissions as team members but across all candidates and positions.
Completing tasks
Click the open icon or on the row to open the candidate profile and take action (advance/reject, respond to a note, or submit interview feedback).
If you do not wish to complete a task but want to check it off for your company, click the X on the far right to dismiss it.
You can dismiss a task based on your role and permissions:
My Tasks can always be dismissed by you.
Team Tasks advance/reject actions can be dismissed by any team member or global admin.
All Tasks follow the same dismissal permissions as My and Team Tasks.
Dismissing a task hides it for everyone on your team, so be careful when dismissing tasks.
Filtering by job
Use the jobs dropdown to filter your tasks by specific positions. Select All jobs to see tasks across every position you have access to, or choose a specific job to view only tasks related to that opening.
Task details
Each task displays the following information from left to right:
Task (for example, submit feedback for candidate)
Most recent date of candidate activity (for example, 2 days ago)
Person the task is assigned to (for example, interviewer, hiring manager, recruiter)
Job name
Buttons to open candidate profile or dismiss task
Frequently asked questions
Can I see tasks for candidates I don't have permission to access?
No. Your tasks are filtered based on your role and permissions. If you're on a specific hiring team, you'll only see tasks for candidates in jobs assigned to that team. Admins can see all tasks across all candidates, but can only dismiss tasks not assigned to a specific user.
If I dismiss a task, does it disappear for my team too?
Yes. Dismissing a task will make it disappear for the entire company, so be careful when dismissing tasks. You will still be able to see and action candidates from the Candidates tab.
Can I re-open a task I've already marked complete?
No. Dismissed tasks are hidden forever when they are marked as complete. However, you will be able to take action on candidates from the Candidates tab for each job.
