✨ You can edit your response to candidates directly in the Dover App or in Slack! ✨


When you advance or reject a candidate, you can choose to send them a custom response! Follow the steps below to send a custom response to a candidate:

In Slack

Select ... and select Customize next steps.

In the Dover App

After selecting the candidate in your pipeline, select the dropdown 🔽 next to Advance and then click ✉️ Customize next steps.

In the Dover Interview notes for a candidate, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click ... and then select Customize next steps.

How To Customize Next Steps Email

Step 1: Advance / Reject Candidate & Customize Email

1️⃣ Indicate whether you are advancing or rejecting the candidate.

2️⃣ ( 👍 only) If you choose to advance, assign an interviewer for the next stage.

3️⃣ Your standard email template will pop up.

4️⃣ Edit the subject and text of the email.

5️⃣ When you are finished, click Preview Email.


💡 You cannot edit the email sender because in most cases, we are engaged in conversations with the candidate using that email account. Please compose your response accordingly.


Step 2: ✉️ Review Email & Schedule it to be Sent

1️⃣ After completing your draft, review your email.

2️⃣ If your email needs edits, click Edit Email & repeat steps 4 & 5 above.

3️⃣ Choose when the email will be sent from the dropdown

4️⃣ Click Approve to schedule your customized email to be sent.


⚠️ Please note that FindATime scheduling links are personalized for each individual candidate. Please do not copy and paste or edit the scheduling links from email correspondence.
