Dover is here to help candidates move through the hiring process faster and more efficiently. We’ll send first round scheduling emails for any candidate who has been actioned in Slack as well as candidates added via the Add Candidate button in the Dover app. Check out the specifics below!

Outbound Candidates

Outbound candidates are any candidates who respond as interested to our email outreach. These candidates are surfaced in Slack as “CANDIDATE NAME interested in Role”

Once you click Approve, the candidate is surfaced to our team of Recruitment Coordinators who will manually send a scheduling email to go out the same day.

💡 NOTE: You have 1 hour to make any adjustments or changes to your decision after clicking Approve in Slack. After that hour has passed, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to make the requested changes before a note is sent out.

Inbound Candidates

Inbound Candidates are candidates who apply to a job via an external source such as LinkedIn, Indeed or another job board.

These candidates are surfaced in Slack as "📬 New Application: CANDIDATE NAME (Role)”

Once you click Approve in Slack, a scheduling note is automatically queued to go out by the end of the day. Since these notes are automatic, they will go out same day regardless of whether it's a weekend or working hours. So, if a candidate is Approved on Saturday and you wish to make adjustments to the interview plan on Monday, it will be too late because an email will have already have gone out.

💡 NOTE: You have 1 hour to make adjustments or changes to your decision after clicking Approve in Slack. After that hour has passed, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to make the requested changes before a note is sent out.

Manually Added Candidates

For candidates who are added via the Add a Candidate feature in the Dover App, a scheduling email is automatically generated to go out by the end of the day if you select Yes for Schedule an Interview. You will be able to edit the email before it is sent by Dover.

💡 NOTE: You have 1 hour to make adjustments or changes to your decision after clicking Approve in Slack. After that hour has passed, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to make the requested changes before a note is sent out.
